An Indian restaurant based in Bramhall has received plaudits at a top culinary award.
Bombay to Mumbai, based at 10 Fir Road, did Stockport proud at the 2026 Indian Restaurant Summit and Honours, held at the five-star Edwardian Hotel in Manchester.
The restaurant made the shortlist in the Best Independent Indian Restaurant category, and the business' co-founder Donya Bonyadi won the Women in Hospitality Leadership award at the ceremony.
Sandeep Gursahani, director at Bombay to Mumbai, said he and the team were 'thrilled' with the outcome.
"This recognition highlights Donya's years of dedication running an Indian restaurant as a Persian woman, along with her exceptional team management, her rapport with our local Bramhall customers, and her occasional opera singing in the restaurant", he said.

The awards were organised by ResturantIndia.UK, and are described as the 'golden standard' of the Indian food and beverage industry globally.
The ceremony, which took place on Monday 21 September, marks the first time the event has been held in Manchester.
It featured a packed lineup, featuring celebrity chefs, a panel of culinary experts, and Stockport MP Navendu Mishra as the guest of honour.
"Mr. Mishra was exceptionally supportive of us as a local business, speaking very highly of both our restaurant and Stockport on stage", Sandeep added.
Bombay to Mumbai promises customers "the elegance and style that reflects the history and culture of Mumbai".
They offer a range of 'mouth-watering' dishes, including traditional Mumbai household curries, along with signatures such as Shabdkosh - sweetcorn bhajis tossed with Indo-Chinese sauces.
They are open from 5-9.30pm from Tuesday to Thursday; 5-10pm Friday to Saturday; and 5-9pm on Sundays.
