Sitting between the A6 and the viaduct, Stockport's new interchange is, first and foremost, a travel hub. It will feature bus stands, a travel shop, cycle links, and is 'future-proofed' to hold a Metrolink service should one come to Stockport.
But plans submitted to Stockport Council suggest the interchange could have another function - as an events space.
Plans have been submitted for a pavilion to go in the rooftop park, to function as "an events hub to support events and community activities".
This small building would be a bookable facility, replete with festoon lighting and glazed ceramic tiles for a cozy, intimate atmosphere.
The building would aim to complement the park by providing "new opportunities to connect and engage with communities from across the borough through a variety of projects and programmes", a planning statement says.
The deadlines for consultations is 20 February (standard) and 23 February (neighbours).

The determination deadline for this application is 19 March.
More generally, progress on the Interchange continues in earnest.
As it stands in February, landscaping works, the spiral ramp, and internal decoration are the main milestones at current.
Work also continues on the pedestrian link from the interchange to the station.
Speaking of the aforementioned developments, TfGM said: "Landscaping work on the park is progressing well, with the laying of the surface for the cycle and pedestrian paths and plant and tree planting continuing.
"The spiral ramp is taking shape, with the final three sections shortly to be installed. Inside the Interchange, decorating has started and installation of the fixtures and fitting is continuing.
"The cycle and pedestrian link to Station Road is also continuing to take shape, with work on the construction of the stair link to Exchange Street progressing and the start of the planting of trees and plants."
Plans are currently in place to host an opening celebration event as part of Stockport's Town of Culture events programme.
