Plans submitted for 24 new homes in Heaton Norris

Plans have been submitted to build 24 new homes in Heaton Norris.
The development would be based on Manchester Road (near Reddish Asda), and would feature 20 apartments and four affordable houses.
Plans would also include the demolition of an industrial building on site, as well as a car park with around 30 spaces.
It would straddle the intersection of Reuben Street and Manchester Road , with the 20 apartments on the north side and the four homes to the south.
The apartments would be three storeys and would 'utilise a modern approach to design', the applicant says.
The homes to the south would be designated as 'affordable, featuring a "traditional two storey pitch roof design situated in a short terrace".

Furthermore, the buildings would "utilise a carefully selected pallet of high-quality materials that would pay regard to the existing buildings around the site."
Indeed, the applicant argued that there would be "no unacceptable impacts" on the heritage of the area.
Neighbours are being consulted on the plans until 27 March.
A decision from Stockport Council on the plans is due in June.
