A major company is moving into Stockport Exchange, bringing 1,000 employees.
Health and life insurance company Vitality will be relocating from their Wellington Road South office to the Exchange, Stockport's business district based just outside the railway station.
It means that the Exchange complex will be home to a total of 2,000 workers in a variety of sectors.
Other well-known names which have office space there already include Stagecoach and MusicMagpie.
Luke McClaran, chief people officer at Vitality, said the company was attracted by the modern, purpose-built offices at the Exchange.
"It provides the perfect space for us to create a vibrant, inclusive workplace that helps promote collaboration, connection and innovation", he added.
"Vitality already has a strong presence in Stockport, and this move reflects how proud we are to be a business within the local community and our continued commitment to the Northwest."
Cllr Micheala Meikle, Stockport Council Cabinet Member for skills, economy and regeneration, said: "Vitality relocating its more than one thousand staff to our premier business district is the start of a new and exciting chapter for Stockport Exchange.
"The move has cemented its position as a growing employment destination, creating opportunities for residents to develop the skills needed for the future."
