A new YMCA charity shop has opened at the Merseyway Shopping Centre.

It is located next to Waterstones, on the north-western 'spur' of the indoor shopping centre. Having opened on 22 December, the shop is just a few weeks old.

It stocks a wide range of furniture, clothes, books, DVDs, homeware, and more.

YMCA is the largest and oldest youth charity in the world. As the charity states: "Money raised in these stores helps YMCA intensively support 572,000 young people every year, ensuring each young person we meet has an opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive."

Opening hours are as follows:

  • Monday-Saturday 9am-5.30pm
  • Sunday 10am-4pm

The store is also looking for more sales assistants following its recent opening. Volunteer HERE.

The store also hosts regular collection days; for more information, see the shop's Facebook page HERE.
