New holiday lodges - plus shop and café - could be built in Poynton

Storage buildings at a former Poynton poultry farm look set to be demolished to make way for holiday lodges, a café and convenience store.
The application for the site at Price Poultry Farm on Green Lane is due to be considered by Cheshire East's northern planning committee on Thursday.
It was called in by ward councillor Jos Saunders (Con) for several reasons including inappropriate development in the green belt, the location is neither sustainable nor appropriate and on highways grounds.
Poynton Town Council has objected to the proposal as have 56 residents.
Eleven households have written to Cheshire East in support of the scheme.
The planning officer's report to Thursday's meeting states: "The proposed development would involve the construction of nine detached holiday let buildings arranged in a crescent layout along an internal access road.
"The holiday let buildings would vary in size ranging from one-bedroom to three-bedroom units.
"A 'facilities building' is also proposed which would contain a shop, café, laundry room and gym, with an overhanging canopy providing covered outdoor seating."
The report says the proposal would involve redevelopment of previously developed land, which would not cause substantial harm to the openness of the green belt.
It says the development would align with the council's ambitions to enhance the rural economy and recreation opportunities through the provision of new holiday accommodation with good connectivity to local tourist attractions.
The recommendation is for councillors to delegate the application back to planning officers to approve subject to receipt of the outstanding highways and ecology information.
