A new Greggs drive-thru will open next month in Cheadle Heath.
The bakery will open on the site of the former Farmer's Arms pub, at the junction of Stockport Road and Edgeley Road.
Whilst a specific date has not yet been confirmed, a Greggs spokesperson confirmed to Manchester Evening News that the opening would be sometime in September.
The spokesperson said: "Greggs is due to open a new shop in Stockport next month. While we are unable to share any details at the moment, we will share further information nearer the time."
The new drive-thru would be accessed off Edgeley Road, and would have 24 car parking spaces and two bays in the drive-thru to take customer orders.
Plans for the drive-thru were met with some opposition, including objections from residents and councillors.
However, the council's planning committee ultimately resolved that there 'wasn't a strong enough basis to refuse'.
During the planning process last year, a planning officer said there was "no evidence within the application to suggest that an unacceptable or severe impact to traffic generation will arise".
However, councillors at the time promised to ensure that the impact on traffic was minimal.
Greggs drive-thrus have been going up across the country since 2017, after the first was constructed in Irlam.
Visitors can expect the usual array of Greggs products - pasties, cakes, sandwiches, and more - but this time from the car.
