A new burger and grilled chicken restaurant could be coming to Stockport.

Plans have been submitted to Stockport Council for a new 'Smoke & Pepper' sign at Unit 3 of Redrock in the town centre.

While more details are yet to be confirmed, plans for the replacement sign suggests there could be a new Smoke & Pepper restaurant on the way.

Smoke & Pepper is a growing comfort food and burger restaurant chain based in the UK.

They currently have 22 restaurants across the UK, the nearest being Tib Street in Manchester city centre.

The chain says it "has a passion for authentic food, bespoke design and a drive for customer excellence".

Plans were submitted late in September - a decision is due by 19 November.
