A Heaton Chapel burger restaurant is sadly closing its doors this month.

The Last Stop Mcr, based at 410 Manchester Rd, will be closing on Saturday 26 July - the owners made the announcement on social media this morning (Tuesday 22 July).

The Last Stop's other locations in the Produce Hall and The Salmon of Knowledge will remain open.

The owners said that an increase in costs and 'changes in consumer spending habits' have meant that the Heaton Chapel site is 'no longer economically viable'.

However, despite the closure, the kitchen team have all secured jobs at The Last Stop's other locations.

"Despite a fantastic year for The Last Stop, we've decided that the time is right to make a change in the Chapel", the owners said.

"We'd love to see you for one last smashed cheese in the four walls where it all started, and maybe a pint or seven on the Saturday.

"Thank you all for being a part of the journey and a pleasure to get to know. We'll see you soon; maybe sooner than you think."
