A 'mischievous' elf has completed a tour of Stockport.

This miniature fellow, under the supervision of Stockport Council, was photographed visiting a number of famous locations across the borough.

The elf appeared all over: at Bramhall Hall; on the 192 bus; at the Pantomime; the Merseyway centre; and even in the Mayor's office at Stockport town hall.

"Word has it the Elf made itself quite at home, taking selfies in the Mayor's chair and pretending to be in charge for the day", a Council spokesperson said.

Photos of the elf appeared on the Counci's social media pages, receiving hundreds of likes and shares and by extension a fair degree of local fame (or indeed infamy).

"Whether spreading joy, creating a little mischief, or showcasing Stockport's incredible community spirit, this Elf has brought plenty of festive magic wherever they've gone", the Council spokesperson added.

If you haven't caught up with the elf's antics yet, head over to Stockport Council's social media pages: Facebook | X | Instagram.
