Another key milestone has been reached in the development of Stopford Park, a new neighbourhood in Stockport town centre.

Centrick has been appointed as the estate manager, meaning they'll manage the neighbourhood's rentals, stewardship, parks, and more.

Developer Cityheart appointed Centrick after a 'competitive selection process', singling out their 'strong residential management expertise'.

Stopford Park adjoins Greek Street and Wellington Road North, close to the War Memorial Art Gallery.

It is already partially complete, with the first residents expected to move in this year.

Once fully complete, it will comprise 442 new homes spread across three new buildings, plus a co-working space in the old art school, which is being converted for that purpose.

Described as 'greater than a development', Stopford Park promises to be a "gateway into a life of culture, arts and entertainment".

Centrick, which is headquartered in Birmingham, manages more than 30,000 homes across the UK.

Cityheart said it was Centrick's "people-first approach and clear commitment to building strong communities that made them the standout choice".

Penny Langton, marketing director at Cityheart, said: "Throughout the selection process, it was clear that Centrick shared our appreciation for Stockport's strong sense of community, character and ambition.

"Together, we're focused on creating homes where people can put down roots, building on the energy and confidence that's already shaping Stockport today."

Phil Johns, managing director at Centrick, said: "Stopford Park is the kind of development that demonstrates what regeneration can achieve when vision and execution align.

"This is an exciting time for Stockport, and we're proud to be partnering with Cityheart.

"We share their commitment to building genuine communities and are looking forward to bringing that vision to life, creating a place residents are genuinely proud to call home."
