Man Rushed to Hospital Following Incident on Stockport Road West

A man has been rushed to hospital after falling from his bike on Stockport Road West, Bredbury, around 5.42 pm yesterday.  Multiple units including an air ambulance were sent to the scene.  

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said, 'NWAS attended to a patient after reports they fell off a bike a on Stockport Road following a call at 17.42. A response vehicle, advanced paramedic, ambulance crew and air ambulance all went to the scene.'

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a man approximately in his 50s was taken to hospital, and that officers supported paramedics at the scene.  

The road remained closed until around 7.00 pm.
