A 45-year-old man has been arrested following a string of indecent exposure incidents across Stockport.

In eight separate incidents across the borough, women have reported seeing a man with a bicycle expose his genitals.

Following another incident at 12.45pm today (Monday 28 September), a woman contacted police after a man allegedly exposed his genitals to her and her friends.

Less than half an hour later, a man matching the description was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.

He remains in custody for questioning.

The first report was made at Brabyns Park and Roman Lakes in Marple.

Further incidents were subsequently reported in Bramhall Park and Happy Valley. Another report was made on the Meltham Road cycle path towards Station Road in Heaton Mersey.

Detective Inspector Marc Barker from Greater Manchester Police's Stockport Division said: "Today's arrest follows a number of reports of alleged incidents that have caused significant concern across Stockport and neighbouring areas.
