Man arrested following knife attack in Bredbury

A man has been arrested following a knife attack in Bredbury.
The attack, which took place in the evening of Monday 27 January on Lower Bents Lane, left the victim with 'superficial' injuries.
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and bail offences - he remains in custody for questioning.
Greater Manchester Police have opened an investigation.
They have said that there is not believed to be any threat to the wider community.
Police were called to the scene at 9.45pm, with cars and a helicopter circling overhead, Manchester Evening News reports.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "We were called on Monday 27 January 2026 at 9.45pm to reports of an assault on Lower Bents Lane, Bredbury, Stockport. A man in his 20s was found with superficial injuries consistent with a knife.
"We have arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and bail offences. He remains in custody for questioning.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish full circumstances of the incident. Officers believe there is no wider threat to the community."
