The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has revealed its 2025 Good Beer Guide, and it's good news for Stockport, which accounts for many of the entries this year.

Pubs from across the borough have made it into the guide - 22 in all. We can't list them all here, but you can browse them yourself in the guide HERE.

Below is just a small sample, from Romiley to Reddish and all the places in-between:

  • The Mounting Stone - Bramhall
  • The Wobbly Stamp - Cheadle
  • Olde Vic - Edgeley
  • The Horse and Farrier - Gatley
  • Heaton Hops - Heaton Chapel
  • The Samuel Oldknow - Marple
  • Reddish Ale - Reddish
  • Hop Haus - Romiley
  • The Magnet - Stockport
  • Bakers Vaults - Stockport

It's a huge cross-section of pubs from across the borough, from quaint European-inspired micropubs through to traditional, historic boozers.

CAMRA's Good Beer Guide - a gospel of real ale hotspots and top quality boozers - was first published in 1972, and has been reissued every year since then.

This edition surveys 4,500 pubs across the UK, and describes itself as the "the definitive beer drinker's guide for those seeking the best pints in the nation's pubs".

It's on sale now, with a cover featuring Emmerdale's The Woolpack and Coronation Street's The Rovers Return - chosen for how they symbolise the familiarity and community spirit of pubs across the UK.

You can buy the CAMRA's 2025 Good Beer Guide from £16.99 HERE.

Ash Corbett-Collins, the chairman of CAMRA, said: "CAMRA's mission is to ensure support from the government, as well as tangible legislation to protect pubs in this country.

"By next year's edition of the Guide, we want to be talking about the beer and pub trade growing with the support of communities and parliament alike."
