A local disability charity will be hosting a golfing day on 5 July to raise money for their cause.

Supportability's annual golfing day will return to Heaton Moor golf course, for what will be the charity's 70-year anniversary.

On the day, teams will take on an 18-hole golf course, with prizes also available for the longest drive and nearest pin.

Those people who the charity supports will also be able to take part.

Due to the impressive level of demand, there is only one team space left. However, there are more ways to get involved - read more on the supportability website HERE

Supportability is based in Heaton Moor. Its motto is: "Making life better for people with disabilities."

Geraint Hughes, the charity's CEO, said: "We're really excited for our golf day, as 2024 will be our charity's 70th year.

"Each year we are fortunate to have the continued support of the local business community. Without their generosity our annual golf day would not be the success it is.

"The structure of the event is unique in that we ensure inclusivity so that those who benefit from our service offers are truly engaged on the day whilst also giving our supporters the opportunity to meet, interact and see first-hand those that their generosity benefits."
