By Alasdair Perry 10th Sep 2026
Weir Mill will be hosting a free party featuring live music and a family-friendly rave next month.
The event is taking place from 11.30am to 10pm on Saturday 3 October, featuring a packed lineup across two stages.
Proceedings will unfold underneath Stockport's historic viaduct, in the centre of what is now the Weir Mill neighbourhood.
Already the spot is host to a range of bars and cafes, apartments, and small parks.
The lineup has now been announced, featuring an all-local billing - every act who takes to the stage on the day is from or based in Stockport.
This includes:
- A Certain Ratio (DJ Set)
- The Playhouse Project Family Rave
- Muddy Feet (Sticky Heat)
- NAM
- Bobby Thorpe
- Pangolin
- Ste Macca
- Annie Fay
- Pop Vox Choir
- Before I Die presents: BiD Sound ft. Arrival, Jason Boardman J-Walk, Yasmin Lever
Ant Powell, head of work & social at Capital&Centric (the developers behind Weir Mill), said: "Weir Mill has been years in the making and we think it deserves a proper send-off into the world. WEIR:LIVE isn't a launch event - it's a party for Stockport.
"We wanted every act, every artist and every creative involved to be from this town. The talent is here, it's brilliant, and it deserves a stage.
"We want people who've watched this place come back to life to come down, have a drink, hear some great music and feel like this neighbourhood is already theirs. Because it is."
