Emergency services were called to New Moor Lane in Hazel Grove following a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian.

A woman was hit by a van around 2.30pm on Tuesday 15 July.

Police, fire and air ambulance services were all called to the scene.

North West Ambulance Service confirmed that the woman was taken to hospital in a statement to MEN.

"A woman was taken to the hospital after she was involved in a collision with a van", a spokesperson said.

"The response included a HeliMed team, a senior clinician, two ambulances and a response vehicle."

New Moor Lane and Mount Pleasant remained closed for around three hours near the junction with London Road.
