A date has been confirmed for Bramhall's Christmas lights switch-on - it's Sunday 1 December.

The 'Light Up Bramhall' event will of course feature a lights switch-on, as well as an artisan market, live performances, and much more.

In what promises to be a "day of festive fun for the whole community", there will be performances running all day from community groups, choirs and bands. Festivities will be centred around Bramhall village and the precinct.

And as for the artisan market - it will be organised by Worker Bee Markets, showcasing unique crafts and gifts, perfect for holiday shopping and Christmas gifts.

There will also be food and drink stalls providing seasonal treats, plus a fun fair for younger visitors.

Further still, Santa will be taking some time out of his packed schedule to set up a grotto in Village Square.

Festivities will run from 11.30am to 6pm.
