Fortnight of 30 events in the pipeline for Reddish

Reddish will soon celebrate a special two-week period featuring no less than 30 events, almost all of which will be free. 

"Spotlight on Reddish" will take place from Sunday 24 March to Sunday April 7, and will feature a huge range of events, from live music to community markets.

Some highlights include: 

  • Stockport Music Story - a celebration of Stockport's musical history from the '60s onwards (Tue 26 March)
  • A live performance from 'soul diva' Karen James (Sat 30 March)
  • Worker Bee Market (Sat 30 March)
  • Men in Sheds bicycle repair workshop (Sat 30 March)
  • Easter Egg Hunt at Reddish Working Men's Club (Sun 31 March)
  • 'Matilda' themed drama (Tue 2 - Fri 5 April)
  • Songwriting workshop with Darren Poyzer (Sat 6 April)

Many of the events are accessible to all ages. Spotlight's general aim is to be "a celebration of local organisations, local business and creativity". 

The event will officially kick off at 7pm on Sunday 23rd with a special livestream, which can be viewed HERE.
