Filming for the BBC Three comedy 'Daddy Issues' took place in Stockport Underbanks today (Monday 15 January).
Film crews were gathered around the Winters / Alfredo's Social building, with a red Jaguar vehicle and a red carpet arranged for the scene.
Unfortunately, we haven't been allowed to share pictures.
A synopsis for the show runs as follows: "The show follows Gemma (Aimee Lou Wood), who lives for the weekend when she can get blasted and party hard in Stockport, Manchester.
"But after joining the mile high club with a random hook-up on her way back from a holiday to Portugal, she's pregnant, and it couldn't come at a worse time.
"The only person Gemma has left in her life is her dad Malcolm (David Morrissey), who is kind-hearted but useless – he can't load a washing machine, boil an egg or change the Wi-Fi password.
"Malcolm is suffering from the collapse of his family and living in a bedsit for divorced men. Which is how Gemma and her dad end up living in Gemma's flat.
"She needs support at a critical time in a woman's life, he needs help microwaving rice without it exploding."
This is not the first production to have been filmed in Stockport; Netflix chart-topper 'Fool Me Once' had scenes shot in Bramhall and the Air Raid Shelters. It's A Sin, Peaky Blinders, Dodger and more have also been filmed in what is increasingly being referred to as 'Stockywood'.
Nor does this spate of filming show any signs of slowing down; Stockport Council is part of Creative England's 'Filming in England' partnership, and figures from the partnership show that since January 2018, there have been 197 shoot days in the borough, with an estimated £3.5 million spent on production.
The full cast and a release date for Daddy Issues is expected to be announced in due course.
