Greater Manchester Police are continuing to search for Steven Caulfield, a missing 70-year-old man.

Steven was last seen on Tuesday 1 October around 4pm, in the vicinity of the golf course next to Middlewood Way, Marple.

Three weeks after his disappearance, Steven's family are appealing for anybody with any information to come forward.

A family spokesperson said: "We just want to express how much we miss Steven.

"As a family we are trying to stay positive and we are appealing to anyone who thinks they may have seen Steven to speak to police and please check your CCTV."

Officers have been hard at work, searching areas which Steven was known to frequent, speaking to locals, and checking CCTV.

He is described as a white male, around 5 foot 6 in height, with a bald head. In CCTV footage of his last known location, he is wearing a baseball cap, black jeans, a white t-shirt, a black v-neck jumper, and white trainers, along with a parka coat.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Wrench said: "We have been doing everything we possibly can to locate Steven, who was well known within the community as a postman prior to his retirement"

"We have been conducting thorough searches of the areas he was last seen, as well as areas that he is known to frequent using resources from our Specialist Operations Branch. We are also liaising with our colleagues in Cheshire and Derbyshire Police to share our appeals and to alert the public in those areas who may possibly have seen him.

"I would like to thank the public for their assistance in sharing our appeals and getting in touch with possible sightings and information; please do continue to share any information with us, no matter how small you think it is. If you believe you have seen or know where Steven is, your assistance could be hugely beneficial."

If you have any information regarding Steven's whereabouts, please contact police on 0161 856 9675 or 101 or by using the report tool and LiveChat function on the GMP website.
