A public consultation on the Marple Leisure Hub has been extended to 9 October.
The consultation invites public feedback on proposals for the new Marple Leisure & Communities Hub - a new sports centre and library for Marple - which will inform a forthcoming planning application.
Stockport Council is looking for responses on the design of the hub, as well as feedback on walking and highways improvements.
The council said in a statement: "The engagement was due to close on 2 October, however we are extending this to 9 October at 23:59pm to allow residents further time to submit their responses, as we are aware of issues with some properties not receiving letters in the post."
Feedback is given through an online survey. Residents are asked about their connection to Marple, as well as their general likes and dislikes about the proposals, which can be viewed in full on the consultation website.
The £20 million hub project will deliver a new swimming pool, library, fitness studio, community spaces and new cycling and walking routes.
It comes after the former Marple Baths had to close five years ago.
It is hoped that a planning application will be submitted in Winter 2023, allowing for construction on the project to begin in Summer 2024 in line for opening in Winter 2025.
Plans to demolish the former pool building have been submitted to Stockport Council, with work expected to commence in October 2023.
Cllr Colin MacAlister, cabinet member for economy and regeneration at Stockport Council, said of the hub: "This is going to make a huge, positive impact on the prosperity, health and wellbeing of the residents of Marple and the borough.
"Marple has an older population but also has its share of social housing and is geographically isolated.
"This new hub will really help to address the increasing health inequalities in Marple, adding to people's quality of life, living longer and better and provide fabulous new facilities for the community."
