A Cheadle Hulme company has appointed a top translator from Germany as its new Sales Director.

The Translation People has appointed Svenja Müller as its new Sales Director. Svenja has spent more than 16 years in the translation industry across a variety of positions for market-leading firms.

In 2007, she joined the German operation of TransPerfect, the world's largest provider of language and technology solutions. She moved to the UK in 2010 and joined translate plus, a start-up business which she helped to grow into one of the top 100 translation providers in the world.

In addition to its Cheadle Hulme office, the Translation People has five offices across the UK. It also has offices in Munich, Bonn, Paris and Boston. The company offers translation services in 28 different languages, including Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Arabic, French, German, and many more.

Speaking of her appointment, Svenja said: "The Translation People is entering a new era [...]

"In the short time I've been with the company, what's immediately apparent is that it's an organisation that has people at its heart. AI is advancing rapidly, and we are well-positioned to guide our clients through this period of change, adding human value where it is most needed whilst embracing new technologies to streamline multilingual content production."

Jasmin Schneider, Managing Director of The Translation People, said: "Svenja's experience in the industry speaks for itself. Not only is she aligned to the core markets we operate in and see potential for future opportunities, but she has played a key role in the exponential growth of some of the biggest players in our market.

"We're pleased to have such an asset in our team and look forward to utilising her insight and knowledge of what is an ever-changing market."
