Bull's Head Marple gets exciting new extension
By Alasdair Perry 21st Jul 2026
The Bull's Head in Marple now boasts a fancy new extension.
The pub, based at 23 Market Street, now has a 'hybrid' indoor / outdoor area, which can be stripped back into a sun-kissed beer garden in the summer, or covered to become a cosy winter conservatory in the colder months.
The extension comprises a retractable roof, full-height sliding doors and windows with weatherproof furniture.
Dubbed 'The Barn', it aims to feel like a natural extension of the pub itself, boosting its capacity while remaining in-keeping with the atmosphere of the rest of the building.
It also provides space for live music and private functions.
It replaces the pub's former garden which, although pleasant in summer, didn't offer much in the way of shelter come winter!
What's more, pub managers Allison and Kevin are looking to host brunch events, cinema nights, and craft workshops in a further exciting chapter for the venue.
