A Buxton business will make someone £100,000 richer on Christmas day.

Online prize draw operator High Peak Comps will be hosting their biggest-ever prize draw, just as the nation will be tucking into their Christmas lunch.

At 1pm, on Saturday December 25, one lucky player's number will come up, earning them £100,000 in their bank before the Christmas pudding has been lit!

It is the record amount High Peak Comps has held a competition for, £25,000 more than last Christmas' £75,000 draw.

The £100,000 draw costs just 99p to enter, and one person can buy as many of 3000 tickets to increase their odds.

In total, 199,999 tickets will be sold for the draw. And its set to be a cracker, offering one gift Santa can't provide!

"We're delighted to offer a Christmas miracle to one lucky High Peak Comps player," said High Peak Comps Founder Charles Edwards.

"Yes, you read that correctly. This Christmas, we'll be making one of you £100,000 richer. A truly life changing end to the year.

"This competition is set to close on 25th December. And we'll be live at 1pm on Christmas Day to find the winner and the prize will be paid within 24 hours.

Last year's Xmas draw winner was from Chapel-en-le-Frith, but anyone in the High Peak and the country can enter.

The £100,000 contest goes alongside the charity work the Dove Holes company has been doing in the High Peak, such as donating chocolate to community events and raffle prizes to local school fairs.

The winner will be announced live at 1pm on the High Peak Comps Facebook page.

• Donated £50 to Stepping Hill Neonatal Unit's charity walk in aid of Bliss, a charity for babies born sick or prematurely.

• Paid for a £50 meat voucher at D&S White Family Butchers', which volunteers at Marple CVS will use to pay for ingredients for hot meals to serve to more than 20 over-60s in the town every Tuesday.
• Donated two LEGO prizes to Hague Bar Primary School (near Marple, Strines and New Mills) to help raise money.
