The Role at a Glance:

Master / Diagnosis Technician Stockport OTE £42,500 - £47,000 Uncapped Additional for MOT Tester. Master Technician - 45 hour a week role, Monday to Friday only, with flexible working hours. Diagnosis Technician - 42.5 hour a week role, in 4 Saturdays paid at overtime with flexible working hours available.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Master and Diagnosis Technician to join our dynamic service team at our MG dealership. You will be an integral part of the workshop, responsible for providing first-class diagnostics, repairs, and servicing for our customers' vehicles. These are senior-level positions, where you will act as a specialist, supporting other technicians and ensuring all work is completed to the highest manufacturer and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct complex diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of MG vehicles, including EV and Hybrid models. Mentor and provide technical assistance to other technicians to ensure efficient and accurate fault diagnosis. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, and air conditioning. Complete all service and repair paperwork accurately and to manufacturer standards. Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with industry guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service, occasionally liaising with customers to offer expert technical knowledge. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications: A recognized NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is essential. A manufacturer Master Technician status is highly desirable. Experience: Proven experience as a Master or Diagnostic Technician in a franchised dealership environment. Experience with the MG brand is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided. Skills: Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are a must. A solid understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, including EV and Hybrid technology, is a key requirement. You must be meticulous, have a flexible approach to work, and possess excellent communication skills. Licence: A full and valid UK Driving Licence is required.
