Import Merchandiser

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Import Merchandiser to join our dynamic team in Stockport. As an Import Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in managing the entire import process for our beauty products, from initial sourcing to final delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and select reliable suppliers for our beauty products, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, lead times, and payment terms.
• Manage the import process, including customs clearance, documentation, and logistics.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Work closely with the buying team to forecast demand and plan product launches.
• Collaborate with the design and packaging teams to ensure product specifications are met.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the import process.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to identify opportunities for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Import Merchandiser or similar role.
• Strong understanding of international trade and import regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for the beauty industry and a keen eye for detail.

Salary

28,000 per year.
