This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the UK's leading MRO as we expand our footprint and continue delivering high-quality, compliant aircraft maintenance services.About the RoleAs a B2 Aircraft Check Manager, you will take full ownership of allocated maintenance inputs, ensuring delivery to schedule while maintaining full regulatory compliance. You will lead a team of engineers, drive performance, and ensure the highest standards of safety, airworthiness, and operational excellence.Please Note: All applicants must be either UK Citizens or currently hold valid work authorisation in the United Kingdom with a minimum of two years remaining until expiration.Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of assigned maintenance inputs to meet schedule and quality expectations
- Lead allocated aircraft projects and contribute to broader company initiatives
- Oversee staff within your area of responsibility, including task allocation and performance management
- Issue certificates of release to service for aircraft types in line with your QA044 Staff Authorisation
- Provide daily production briefings and progress updates to senior management
- Ensure technical integrity of all maintenance work conducted under your control
- Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready work environment
- Lead and support team health and safety practices and compliance
- Participate in internal and external audits, and implement robust closure plans
- Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets
- Conduct formal performance appraisals and support staff development initiatives
- Valid UK CAA Category B2 License with B777 type ratings
- Proven experience in Base Maintenance Management
- Previous experience as a certifying B2 engineer in a high-volume maintenance environment
- Strong understanding of EASA / UK CAA Part 145 regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Comfortable working day or evening shifts as required
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
