We have a fantastic opportunity for a Right to Work Advisor to join our team based in Stockport. The salary on offer is up to 40,000 per annum. Hybrid working is available for this role and is currently set at 40% in the office and 60% working from home. This may change in the future subject to business needs.

About the role:

As a Right to Work Advisor you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to line managers and colleagues to ensure that right to work processes are implemented and communicated consistently. This is a varied role including using your expertise to review right to work documents and acting as the first point of contact for all right to work related matters. You will also be involved in developing working practices and producing guidance related to right to work compliance by working closely with our Colleague Relations Specialist, Talent Acquisition and People Business Partners and project team.

You will be expected to deliver a professional and effective right to work service through handling queries through calls and emails from customers in an efficient and focused manner, ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided in line with company policy and procedure. A key part of the role is providing coaching to line managers and in regard to Right to Work regulations

With support and guidance from the Colleague Relations Specialist, you will be expected to help with the co-ordination, support and tracking of right to work audit objectives and outcomes and manage right to work queries.

The role may also incorporate other compliance aspects such as Disclosure and Barring checks and development of processes around this.

Interview stage will include a 10-minute presentation.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous Right to work compliance management/advisory roles within an organisation
  • Previous Audit experience
  • Prior experience of working in a HR Shared Services environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy of working
  • Good knowledge of excel and power BI to review and manage data
  • The ability to work with high volumes of data/tasks
  • Excellent influencing and coaching skills
  • The ability to manage, organise and co-ordinate own workload whilst working to deadlines
  • The ability to always handle data confidentially and understand GDPR risk
  • Previous Colleague relations case management experience
  • People Qualification (minimum CIPD level 3)
  • Must have experience and understanding of skilled worker applications
  • Must have experience and understanding of home office regulations.
  • Knowledge of managing DBS checks useful
