One of the UK s leading manufacturers who design, manufacture, supply and distribute quality components over 100 countries worldwide are looking for an experienced Production/ Supply Chain Manager

  1. The role will be based at their UK HQ in Stockport and is a full time, permanent opportunity.
  2. You will report directly to the Production Director.
  3. 40 Hour Week - Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • The day to day running and efficient manufacturing, assembly, stocking and quality of all component parts associated within the company s portfolio of products.
  • To assist the Production Director in every aspect of running the Component/Parts Manufacturing Division.
  • The role is to oversee and create scheduled plans for the efficient running of all departments within the Components/Parts Division.
  • Implementing and managing the role out of a New ERP System in 2025.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

  • At least 4 years Managing Production/Supply chain and parts or components within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of implementing an ERP system roll out within a manufacturing environment.
  • A hands on approach and can-do attitude is essential together with the ability to manage human and material resources, to ensure production targets and objectives are achieved, utilise our internal stocking system for production planning / scheduling throughout all departments
  • The successful person must have a strong background within a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communications skills together with experience of production planning, supply chain management, monitoring sales orders/stock, forecasting for future demand of new and existing products is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft package inc Excel and outlook.
  • Managing staff across all functions within production.

Advantageous skills/experiences would include

  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure that all manufactured goods comply with the Company s quality standards.
  • An understanding of the Injection moulding process and Mould tooling would be advantageous.
  • Good negotiation skills and an understanding of Lean Manufacturing however full training will be given.
