Print Finishing Manager Stockport £35,000 DOE

Our client is an established printing company in Stockport, known for delivering high-quality printed products across various sectors. With expertise in both digital and traditional printing, they focus on exceptional service, innovative solutions, and maintaining the highest standards. Due to growth, they are now seeking a Print Finishing Manager to join their team.

You will work on the day shift, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Some flexibility is required as overtime is regularly available.

The Role

  • Manage and lead a team of print finishers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to job specifications.
  • Oversee the operation of finishing equipment, such as guillotines, folding machines, binding systems, and laminators, ensuring safe and effective use.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of finished products, performing quality checks and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Work closely with production and printing teams to ensure seamless transitions and meet project deadlines.
  • Manage job prioritization, workflow, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to finishing processes, machinery, or materials, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are followed
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials used in the finishing process and order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of production outputs and team performance.

The Person

  • 5 years experience operating print finishing equipment (Polar Guillotine, Muller-Martini stitchers, MBO Folders, Autobond Laminators, Heidelberg Cylinders)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Leadership skills and a hands-on approach to managing workflow
  • Willingness to work overtime when required

Salary and Benefits A generous base salary of £35,000 is available for this role and is dependant on experience. Overtime is regularly available and is paid at an enhanced rate. Genuine progression opportunities, ongoing training and support and more!
