Job Title: Support Worker (1:1) Year 3 Student Location: Bramhall, SK7 Position: Full-time Teaching Assistant (TA) Salary: GBP110 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Long-term Temp Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am 3:30 pm) About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide 1:1 assistance to a Year 3 student with cerebral palsy and quadriplegia. The student requires support with daily activities, both in and outside of the classroom, to ensure she can access her education and participate in school life. This is a rewarding role where you will directly impact the life of a child, supporting her with mobility, communication, and learning. The student has some speech and language difficulties and requires regular manual handling and assistance with personal care. Key Responsibilities: 1:1 Support: Provide dedicated support to a Year 3 girl in a wheelchair, assisting with her mobility and accessing classroom activities. Manual Handling & Lifting: Comfortable with manual handling tasks, including lifting and transferring the child. Swimming Support: Accompany the child to swimming sessions twice a week, assisting with dressing, undressing, and any other needs during the session. Speech and Language Support: Assist with communication and support speech and language development where needed. Personal Care: Help with personal care tasks where necessary, ensuring the students dignity and well-being at all times. Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the child's educational needs are met effectively. Eligibility Requirements: Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Up-to-date manual handling training (required). Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to apply for one.
