We are looking for an experience Training Instructor to join our team of trainers for a key partnership project in the South Manchester region. In this role, you will develop and train trainees to obtain their PCV license in Manchester. As a key member of our PCV instructor team, you will lead best practices to hit our targets. Your responsibilities will include delivering our training program, instructing new recruits on all aspects of PCV driving and safety.

PCV Bus Instructor Main Responsibilities:

  • Driver Training to standard of PCV in accordance with the Department of Transport guidance.
  • To delivery all aspects of training required for the candidate to be test ready, including PCV corrective training & Type Training.
  • Completion of all progress reports and associated paperwork.

PCV Bus Instructor Essential criteria:

  • Applicants must have held a PCV licence for a minimum of three years, with no more than 3 points.
  • Should hold or be willing to work towards Driving Instructors Level 3 NVQ must be achieved within 1 year of becoming a Driving Instructor to be DSA compliant.

Competencies & Skills

  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and at all levels.
  • A thorough knowledge of the Highway code and PCV legislation.
  • A committed, positive approach to encourage and support new and existing members of staff.
  • Experience of successfully achieving deadlines and working without close supervision.

Must be flexible.

Pay rates/Incentives:

  • Basic Salary: £180 per day (8 working hours plus one hour break). Any overtime will be paid at £24.25 per hour.
  • Accommodation: Provided for by IntSol for the duration of the project. (Full time only)
  • Food Allowances provided by IntSol.
