Sheldon Phillips are working with Stockport Council who are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Localities Service, covering duty through to Children Looked After. This is a stable service with 82% of the workforce permanent, a supportive management team, and excellent resources in place to help you focus on quality practice.

What You Can Expect:

  • SWE registration paid annually

  • Relocation allowance available

  • 3 days in the office each week

  • Parking on site (£3 per day or £20 per month)

  • 1x Business Support Officer per team and a Family Support Worker to assist with visits, notes, and meetings

  • Average caseload around 22

  • No lengthy recruitment process just a panel interview, with informal discussions available beforehand

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload from duty through to CLA

  • Undertake high-quality assessments and care planning

  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies

  • Work effectively in a duty rota (1 week in 4)

  • Prepare and present clear, evidence-based reports for court and meetings

  • Ensure all recording is timely and in line with statutory requirements

  • Maintain professional development and reflective practice

Requirements:

  • SWE Registration

  • Social Work qualification

  • Minimum 2 years post-ASYE experience

  • Experience across duty, safeguarding, and CLA

  • Strong safeguarding and assessment skills

  • Multi-agency working experience

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car

  • Flexible and proactive approach to caseload management

Job Overview Deckchair Care have been providing, care, support and companionship to a range of adults living in their own homes since 2017. We are looking for Senior Carers to join our ever-growing team.Our Senior Carers are actively involved in day-to-day care activities - from offering hands-on support, through to the supervision of care services, attending management meetings and providing On Call support.Senior Carers must be able to work a variety of shifts during the week, plus alternate weekends. Working hours are between 7am and 10pm daily._Ideally you will hold a NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care and / or be able to demonstrate experience in the sector. _ Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will be focused on the delivery of outstanding care and will include: Supporting the wider Care team - Leading by example and following best practice - to ensure the Safe and Effective delivery of care. Demonstrating a positive and professional image to the care team and clients alike. Participating in a Senior Team rota, to include care visits and "On Call" shifts. Attending Senior Meetings with the Management Team to ensure optimal client knowledge. Supporting the Care Manager to ensure all client administration is up to date, accurate and compliant. Providing detailed shift handovers / briefs to the wider care team and management, as required. Assisting with client visits as required - including mornings, lunchtimes & evenings - visits may include companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light household duties and medication administration. Skills and Experience: A compassionate nature with excellent communication skills is essential for building rapport with clients and their families. Must be a car owner and in possession of a full UK driving license. Available to cover mornings, teatimes AND / OR evening shifts (no later than 10 pm finish). Must be able to work alternate weekends. Hold a Level 3 NVQ and / or have relevant experience - previous experience in Senior care or a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Experience in hospice care or working within assisted living environments is beneficial.
