On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are seeking to appoint a motivated teacher for a long-term position covering PPA across classes in a larger than average school in Stockport This role will commence September 2025 with the potential of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The school will pay a competitive salary of up to 223 per day which reflects your skill set and suitability and look to appoint and individual who is passionate about improving the life chances of children.

PPA Cover Teacher

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering varied curriculum content across the primary phases. There is a small percentage of SEND but excellent behaviour management and good role modelling for children will be necessary. A thorough up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and the ability to build trusting relationships based on mutual respect and understanding will be key to your success. It will also be crucial to adopt your teaching approach to suit varied age groups and tailor your behaviour management strategies to suit the needs of the class.

You will be joined by experienced teaching assistants who play a key role in each classroom supportive behaviour in addition to leading interventions to drive progress. As a result, being a team player will be key to your success.

Essential Requirements

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
• Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us
• Have excellent references to support your previous experience in a KS2 setting
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
