It's official! Stockport Foodie Friday has been crowned the 'Best Street Food Event' in the entire UK at the 2026 British Street Food Awards!

If you haven't been, why not put Friday 25th September in your diary and come along to see what makes this town-centre event so special.

For September, Stockport Foodie Friday are teaming up with their friends at Mercury Climbing Music Festival to bring you Foodie Friday with a Festival feel so get your bucket hats and band T-shirts at the ready!

Mercury Climbing Festival takes place 17th - 26th September in Stockport and brings you some brilliant live music in St Mary's Church including The Twilight Sad, BC Camplight, Badly Drawn Boy, The Lovely Eggs, The Orielles , Apollo Junction and Tim Burgess' legendary Merch Market in Stockport Market.

Join us on Friday 25th September from 6pm for another stellar line of street food legends in Stockport Market Place and street food and live entertainment on Great Underbank.

As usual we will have a great line-up of performers in the Market Hall - including singers Ethan Bouchier, Alex Lees and headliners Blind Tiger bringing the party vibes with their classic covers.

Foodie Friday headline sponsors are CDL Software and Robinsons Brewery and their supporting venues are Bakers Vaults, Thread, Angel Inn, Calverts Court, The Cocked Hat, The Good Rebel, The White Lion, The Underbank and Alfredo's Social, who all contribute to make the event safe and secure for visitors.
