This Friday is the annual #bemoreMartyn Foodie Friday event in Stockport Market Place and Great Underbank.

Every May, Foodie Friday celebrates the life of Stockport's iconic Martyn Hett who was one of the 22 killed in the Manchester Arena attack in 2017 and the event captures the joy and spirit of this amazing young man who lived his life to the full.

May's Foodie Friday has one of the biggest ever line ups of 26 amazing street food traders and brilliant live music in the Market Hall from Ella Marchbank-Smith, Aria Eastwood and Meraklis, Alabaster Queen and her band and a banging DJ set from DJ Sandra D. Let's hear it for the girls!

Down on Great Underbank, DJ Ste Macca will be playing chilled out tunes in The White Lion circle and you can sit and soak up the sunshine while enjoying freshly cooked food from the White lion BBQ and Gatto Pizza at Underbank Beer Hall.

Bring the children for free art activities with Earl and Ohana Theatre in the Market Hall (near Sticky Fingers) check out the indoor market traders such as new trader Brick Prof selling everything Lego or have your portrait drawn by the talented Flazzle.
