Delightfully dark and wickedly funny, C.E. Hulse's Vivian Dies Again is a wonderfully entertaining time-loop murder mystery that sees our protagonist repeatedly being murdered and having to solve the case of her own death. Perfect for fans of Groundhog Day and Russian Doll, Vivian Dies Again is an early highlight of 2026 and we're thrilled to be welcoming Caroline to our Stockport shop for a fun-filled evening discussing the book with Hannah MacDonald (host of A Pair of Bookends podcast). The talk will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.
Tickets are £5.00 each or £16.99 including a copy of Vivian Dies Again. Light refreshments are included in the ticket price.
Event starts at 6:30pm (doors at 6pm)
About the book:
Time heals all wounds. Except blunt force trauma.
Vivian Slade is a cautionary tale. The wrong side of thirty, she's no longer the life and soul of the party - she's a party of one. But she's determined to turn over a new leaf, even if that means going to a family gathering where everyone hates her.
Turns out, someone really hates her - enough to push her off a balcony to a very messy end. But then Vivian wakes up! Only to be murdered again. And again. Stuck in a baffling time loop, Vivian's only ally is a sleep-deprived waiter who just wants to finish his shift. Will Vivian be able to solve her own murder? Only time will tell...
"Vivian Dies Again is perfect for fans of Groundhog Day and Russian Doll. It's big, bold, beautifully bonkers, with heaps of heart and a family tree of killer characters. It's time to get ready for the smart, sassy crime caper of the year" - Janice Hallett, author of The Appeal
"Move over Fleabag, there's a new hot mess in town: C.E. Hulse's razor-sharp, witty and original Vivian. If you enjoy your time-loop thrillers dark, deadly and with plenty of bite, you won't want to miss this" - Lizzy Barber, author of Out of Her Depth
