Seven Reasons to Murder Your Dinner Guests - K J Whittle in conversation with Chris McDonald

Join us in Romiley on Tuesday 9th September for the launch of Kerry (KJ) Whittle's debut novel Seven Reasons to Murder Your Dinner Guests - a knife-sharp thriller that sees seven strangers at an anonymously hosted dinner party recieve mysterious cards that reveal the age at which they will die. With all the twists and traits of a devilishly puzzling Agatha Christie tale, it'll keep you hooked until the very end!

Kerry will be in conversation with local author Chris McDonald and the talk will be followed by an audience Q&A and booksigning.

Tickets are £5.00 each or £9.99 including a copy of Seven Reasons to Murder Your Dinner Guests. Light refreshments are included in the ticket price.

Event starts at 6:30pm (doors at 6pm)

About the book:

Three courses. Seven guests. One evening they'll never forget.

Seven strangers meet at Serendipity's for an anonymously hosted dinner party. As the evening reaches its close, small black envelopes are placed in front of the diners… revealing the age at which each will die.

Spooked, but not wholly shaken, the group disperses into the rainy night with the hope of forgetting the ghoulish stunt.

But two weeks later, one dinner guest dies at the age foretold. Was it a tragic accident? Or something more sinister?

As the years go by, the other guests begin to die in line with the predictions given on that first night. And it's up to the remaining few to figure who, if anyone, was behind that dinner party before their numbers catch up with them too.

Told from the perspectives of the guests, Seven Reasons to Murder Your Dinner Guests balances mystery and mortality, asking: how would you live your life if you know your number was up?

About the author:

Kerry (KJ) Whittle's background is in journalism, having written for national newspapers and magazines for the last 20 years where she specialised in telling real-life stories. In 2020, she attended Curtis Brown Creative's novel writing course. Having grown up in Cumbria and studied in London, Kerry now lives in Manchester. Seven Reasons To Murder Your Dinner Guests is her first novel.
