Stockport County have secured a play-off finish following a dominant 3-0 win over League Two champions Leyton Orient.

The Hatters showed a strong start with two goals in 10 minutes.

Akil Wright struck first, evading markers and landing a header in the fourth minute.

Not long after, Callum Camps hit home a piledriver from the edge of the box, making it 2-0 before 10 minutes.

Although throughout the game Orient commanded 72% possession, they failed to capitalise on their chances, with a missed 47th minute free-kick and only one shot on target.

The closest the Os came was an attempt from George Moncur; the strike was blocked by Ryan Croasdale.

County buried the game with a header from Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, from a free-kick set-piece.

The win means The Hatters are guaranteed at least a play-off finish.

If, however, Northampton Town lose their game against Tranmere on 8 May, a County win against Hartlepool on the same day would mean third place and automatic promotion.

Ashton Mee also made a debut in this game, coming on as a substitute.

8,615 people attended the game, of which 1,214 were away fans.
