Vertical Recruitment are working with an award winning civil and structural engineering consultancy in Manchester. Following a series of major government framework wins, they now have an immediate requirement for an NEC4 Site Supervisor to support their busy major projects team.
We are seeking an experienced NEC4 Site Supervisor to undertake the duties of the NEC4 ECC Supervisor within a major projects environment. You will support the delivery of multiple schemes while ensuring all works are completed in line with contract requirements, project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications and quality expectations
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and the project management team
• Build positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including members of the public
• Carry out regular site inspections and proactively identify safety risks
• Attend site meetings and provide clear updates on progress and site activities
• Maintain accurate daily records including logs, inspection reports and safety documentation
• Prepare and submit progress reports as required
• Ensure full compliance with the contractual terms and conditions of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract
• Assist with change management, compensation events and related contractual matters
• Supervise contractors on site and verify valuations for completed works
• Monitor traffic management arrangements and update associated GMRAPS
• Work across local authority schemes within Greater Manchester
Essential Requirements
• Experience in highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including walking and cycling schemes
• Ability to work across multiple schemes simultaneously with construction values typically between 100k and 5m
• Relevant NEC contract training or professional qualifications
• Understanding of project and financial management, including budgeting and cost control
• Strong knowledge of CDM, health, safety and environmental regulations
• Full driving licence with business insurance
• Appropriate CSCS card or NEBOSH qualification
This is expected to be a full time role of 40 hours per week. Please be aware there may be occasional evening or weekend work or extended days to support construction programmes.
