We re hiring for a Machine Shop Foreman to join a precision engineering business in Stockport.

In this role you will be helping lead the day-to-day operations of their machining department that services some of the most highly regulated industries in the world.

• £59,000 per year
• Monday to Friday day shifts (flexible hours)

What will you be doing as a Machine Shop Foreman?

• Coordinating workflow and schedules across multiple CNC machines and operators
• Overseeing production progress to ensure deadlines, specifications, and quality standards are met
• Liaising between production, planning, and engineering teams to maintain alignment
• Supporting CNC operators with technical queries and skill development
• Driving process improvements and troubleshooting tooling or fixturing issues
• Ensuring health and safety compliance across the machine shop
• Collaborating with the quality team to resolve non-conformances and maintain standards

What do you need?

• Experience leading or supervising within a CNC machining environment
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling and turning operations, tooling, and setup
• Comfortable reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
