Career Teachers are working in partnership with an independent specialist day school in Higher Disley, Stockport, who wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their team, on a permanent basis. This role is working 39 weeks per year, plus 6 weeks holiday to be taken during school closure periods.

Their highly experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people aged between 7 and 16 who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, and ADHD, and have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs. This school is located in Higher Disley, therefore a driving license and access to a car is essential.

Ideally, for this Teaching Assistant role, we are looking for someone who has experience of working with children who have ASC/SEMH needs, a passion for supporting young people to learn and develop but more importantly, someone who wants to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people.
