SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted! Location: Stockport Position Type: Full-Time Temporary to Permanent Start Date: September Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who need additional support to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in creating inclusive learning environments
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
  • Encourage and support students to develop confidence, independence, and self-esteem
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet students' needs

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, SEMH)
  • Is patient, nurturing, and flexible in their approach
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
