Simply Education is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join our valued partner secondary schools in Stockport this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging Science lessons in schools that prioritise academic excellence, inclusivity, and professional growth.
The Opportunity
This role is perfect for a committed Science educator with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, who is passionate about inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific understanding among students. You will be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 if desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and tailored to your specialism.
- Encourage scientific enquiry and practical investigation in a safe, well-equipped environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varied needs of learners, including SEN and high achievers.
- Use assessment data effectively to monitor progress and inform planning.
- Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team to support student achievement.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- A strong understanding of curriculum content and effective teaching strategies in Science.
- Ability to inspire students and maintain high engagement levels.
- Excellent behaviour management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Suitable for both ECTs and experienced Science teachers.
