Role Overview:

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the Hyde area of Tameside. This role is specifically for the nursery class, commencing in September 2024. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting the developmental needs of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the nursery teacher in planning and delivering engaging and educational activities.
• Support individual students and small groups with their learning, ensuring each child's needs are met.
• Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
• Help manage classroom behaviour, encouraging positive interactions among students.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and materials.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress.
• Collaborate with the nursery team to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working in an early years setting, preferably within a nursery class.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
