The Role

Equitas are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire students to explore the world around them and develop a deeper understanding of geographical concepts and global issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies.

  • Contribute to the wider curriculum and participate in school activities.

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and the Humanities department to share best practices and resources.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Geography up to KS4 (GCSE).

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
