Associate Headteacher

A rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role! We are seeking an experienced Associate Headteacher with a strong understanding of SEN provision and school development to join our team at Acorns Marple School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
- Support and contributing to whole-school decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Lead on curriculum development, assessment, and inclusive teaching strategies tailored to learners with SEN.
- Promote a positive, trauma-informed culture that supports pupil wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement.
- Develop and support staff through coaching, performance management, and continuing professional development (CPD).
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, SEND legislation, and all statutory obligations.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant teaching experience in a SEN setting.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership position (e.g., Assistant Head, SENCO, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, SEN Code of Practice, and trauma-informed practice.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and manage a multidisciplinary team.

- Experience leading curriculum design and whole-school improvement plans.
