The school offers excellent specialist provision and a highly experienced, supportive team.The Role: Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 7 pupil within a specialist provision Supporting a pupil with Autism and Dyslexia, working below age-related expectations Acting as a scribe, repeating instructions and reinforcing learning consistently Supporting the pupil to retain information through structured repetition and guidance Promoting emotional regulation, ensuring the pupil feels safe, happy, and engaged in school Working closely with teaching staff and specialists to deliver tailored supportCommunication & Support: Building a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil Providing regular updates to parents/carers on progress and wellbeing Working collaboratively with school staff to ensure a consistent approachAbout You: Patient, calm, and nurturing, with the ability to be firm when needed Resilient and consistent in your approach to supporting learning and behaviour Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with parents/carers Passionate about helping vulnerable pupils access education and reach their full potential Able to adapt your approach to meet individual needsIdeal backgrounds include: SEND support in an education or private setting Autism support with young people or adults Residential care / children's homes Youth work, mentoring, or coachingWhat's on offer: £450-£550 per week (depending on experience) Full-time, term-time only role (08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday) Position until the end of the academic year, with potential to become permanent for the right candidate Supportive school environment with excellent resources for their pupil to support their inclusion Opportunity to make a real, lasting impact on a young person's lifeThis is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in supporting a pupil to succeed both academically and emotionally.
